The Fourth Industrial Revolution is usually a reference to the introduction of technologies such as artificial intelligence, genetic technologies and digital transformation.
Today we are witnessing major changes in the world, in business and in each one of us. We are experiencing transformation stages all together and also individually.
Some people are on the threshold of these changes, while others are already confidently striding towards the future.
Social scoring system, facial recognition, genetic engineering etc
Is there a right way to use technologies?
How do we balance the social impact if these new technologies succeed?
The managers of the future have to adapt in an environment where change is constant. They need to be flexible and know how to rapidly change their point of view at a time of technological and humanitarian transformation.
The key is not to be afraid and to remember that digitisation does not only represent new challenges for business, but also new opportunities.
What are the value and the underlying factors of digital transformation?
How does a manager competently start implementing digital changes at a company and manage them, and not simply sit on the fence as a passive observer?
We will discuss all the hidden pitfalls together with digital entrepreneur and professor Jack Lau.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a private business brunch of SKOLKOVO Business School based on the results of Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019. Professor Jack Lau, from the faculty of the best business school in Asia, HKUST, will discuss together with Boris Glazkov, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at Rostelecom, one of the most relevant issues for business and mankind in general – the digitisation of production and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Fourth Industrial Revolution has been characterised as mass automation of production processes. The role of robotics and artificial intelligence is growing in business, and the changes are affecting a wide range of sectors, from the labour market to political systems. For example, according to the International Federation of Robotics, China will use 150 robots per 10,000 industrial workplaces by 2020, three times more than in 2015.
We will discuss together with Professor Lau:
- How do you competently implement all the innovative processes and developments out there in a business?
- Humanity of the technologies of the future. Is there a right way to use such developments as social scoring and facial recognition?
- Automation on the labour market
