Discussion
“Business with China at a time of sanctions”
EMBA FOR EURASIA
Start at 19:30
Today everyone talks about the opportunities available to do business with China. They also comment on the vast potential target audience, digitisation and joint ventures. According to the data of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, in Russia cumulative investments exceed USD 16 billion in energy, infrastructure and finance. However, if you believe research conducted by IEMS SKOLKOVO – the actual figure is almost double that amount.
In the third “New Eurasia” discussion we will discuss the other side of the story.
We will talk about the reasons why many Russian companies experience serious difficulties on the Chinese market. On how payments are blocked and accounts are transferred to private and foreign banks for the performance of transactions. And we will try to make forecasts on investment cooperation between Russia and China and on what business should actually expect from joint projects.
At the event conducted jointly with experts from investment companies and banks working directly with China, we will:

Discuss new solutions for Russian-Chinese business at a time of sanctions

Provide a brief overview of the distribution of Chinese capital on the Russian market

Make forecasts on Chinese-Russian investment cooperation based on current developments and the plans being discussed
